The Georgetown Fund

The goal of a Georgetown education is to instill in students an awareness of the responsibilities of leadership and an understanding of the world and the role they must play in improving it. Your support of the Georgetown Fund makes possible the combination of people, programs, and experiences that make up Georgetown's mission of academic excellence and service to others. Since fall 2009, all contributions to the Georgetown Fund have gone to support the 1789 Scholarship Imperative, the university's important new initiative to ensure that the best and the brightest students can attend Georgetown, regardless of their financial need.

The Georgetown Fund is the university's main giving priority, but parents can also support Dean's Leadership Funds for Georgetown's four undergraduate schools, student affairs and athletics. Other ways to give.

Major Gifts

The future of Georgetown University depends on the generous support of family and friends as well as alumni. Major gifts allow the university to promote excellence, to attract and retain the most deserving and brightest students, to recruit and support world-class faculty and researchers, and to enhance and broaden Georgetown's research, education and outreach programs.

Endowed scholarships, gifts to support capital projects, gifts of securities and memorial gifts to honor loved ones are all ways to support the Georgetown experience. More information.
