Job Title: Associate Director, Data and Reporting Services

What led you to Georgetown University Advancement?

I was originally drawn to Georgetown because of its Jesuit mission and the commitment to serving the common good. That sense of purpose is still what drives me, but it’s the community that makes the daily work so fulfilling. There is a genuine spirit of kindness here, and I’m constantly encouraged to learn and explore new ways to contribute. It’s a place where your professional growth feels just as important as the work itself.

What’s been your biggest achievement at Georgetown so far in your career?

In Advancement, there’s truly never a dull moment, and my favorite accomplishment is how much I’ve evolved through the daily challenges we face. I get to interact with a wide variety of people, turning complex data requests into meaningful solutions that keep our mission moving forward. Beyond the technical side, I value the personal relationships I’ve built with colleagues across the departments. It’s a great feeling to know that even a “behind the scenes” data pull has a direct, positive impact on someone else’s workday.

How did you end up in your current role? Did you have previous experience?

When I transitioned to this position, I saw a perfect opportunity to align my years of non-profit database management with a more focused role in data and reporting. I didn’t have every single technical skill on day one, but the environment here truly supports people who are ready to learn and grow. Success in Advancement means being adaptable and willing to keep up with shifting industry standards. If you enjoy taking on new challenges and refining your technical skills, you’ll find this a very meaningful place to contribute.

What’s one fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

My background is actually in fine arts, with a specific focus on printmaking, painting, and drawing. While I don’t pick up a brush as much these days, I’ve set a goal to sketch for at least an hour a week to keep those creative muscles flexing. I have a deep appreciation for everything from traditional styles to bold abstract work. One of my bucket-list dreams is to eventually take my watercolors out and paint by the side of a mountain.

How does your work align with the broader mission at Georgetown & Advancement?

I see my work as an extension of Georgetown’s commitment to caring for the whole person. By focusing on the small details and delivering high-quality results, I ensure our mission is represented with the excellence it deserves. Beyond the tasks, I make it a priority to step in and support my colleagues whenever they have a need. For me, aligning with the mission means being a reliable partner to both the university and the people sitting next to me. It’s about creating a culture where excellence and mutual support go hand-in-hand.

“At Georgetown, our mission is reflected in the care we give to every detail and the encouragement we give to one another to constantly learn, grow, and contribute to the common good.”
