A Message From Our Vice President

One of the fundamental commitments of Georgetown University is to what our founders and sponsors, the Jesuits, call cura personalis — care for the whole person, including mind, body, and spirit. We are committed to living our mission and the values which guide it as fully as possible in every aspect of our life and work here. In the Office of Advancement, one manifestation of cura personalis is the conviction that as our coworkers serve Georgetown, so too must Georgetown serve them in all or nearly all aspects of their professional and personal development. We engage our employees in meaningful, mission-critical work, provide opportunities for growth, and partner with them to ensure an equitable and inclusive work environment. We do not always succeed, but we are committed to trying, every day.

At the heart of our work in Advancement is supporting the university in advancing its mission — to contribute to the greater good of our global society through education, research, and service. We foster connections within and beyond the Georgetown community and seek philanthropic support for the institution and its priorities. Our work is critical to every aspect of the University’s work, to every manifestation of its mission. We build relationships, we connect, and we communicate and engage with alumni, families, parents of students and alumni, and friends of every kind. Ultimately, we work to create a community of people who share our commitment to the mission and purposes of this place.

Over the 10 years that I have served as Vice President for Advancement, our team has grown substantially. As we prepare for our next campaign, we continue to seek engaging and passionate colleagues to join our team, further our work, and grow our diverse and dynamic workforce and culture.

I invite you to learn more about our work and to connect with a member of our Talent Acquisition team.

I hope this site piques your interest and that we may someday soon have the occasion to meet and talk. In the meantime, you have my thanks for your interest and best wishes.
